Custom Color Master · Last updated: July 2026
Custom Color Master is a macOS menu bar utility for picking and converting colors. This policy explains, plainly, what happens to your data when you use the app.
Custom Color Master lets you sample colors from anywhere on your screen using the system color picker, convert color values you paste in, and keep a local history of those colors so you can copy them in different formats.
Custom Color Master does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any data about you or your device. Specifically, the app:
When you open the app's window, it reads your clipboard once to check whether it contains a color value. If it does, the value is filled into the input field for convenience; if it doesn't, the clipboard content is discarded immediately and nothing appears in the field. The app also reads the clipboard when you paste into the input field yourself.
Clipboard content is only ever used to fill in that input field on your own device. It is never stored, logged, or transmitted anywhere.
The colors in your history, and your chosen default format, are stored
only on your own device, in a local file inside the
app's own sandboxed container
(~/Library/Application Support/). This data never leaves
your device and is never transmitted anywhere. You can clear your color
history at any time using the "Clear" button in the app.
Custom Color Master does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics providers.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this same URL, with a new "Last updated" date above.
